says Monaco have their sights firmly set on finishing in Ligue 1's top three this season after defeating Caen on Friday.
Leonardo Jardim's men leapfrogged Marseille into third place with the victory, tentatively boosting them into a Champions League play-off qualification position with six games to go.
"It's great to have claimed the win," Bernardo Silva, 20, told Al Jazeera Sport. "It was the most important thing to win, especially considering our two draws preceding the Caen trip.
"We are very happy with the outcome. Our goal is to hold on to one of the top three spots. We want to keep third place, at least, and we will do everything in our power to do so."
Marseille, who face Bordeaux on Sunday, were defeated at home to Paris Saint-Germain the previous week which left them five points behind Laurent Blanc's men in the Ligue 1 title race.
Next up for Monaco is a visit to Turin on Tuesday to face Juventus in their Champions League quarter-final first leg, with the return fixture at the Stade Louis II to be played the following week.
